Doses is a medication reminder app that helps you and your loved ones stay on top of daily medications. It features AI-powered label scanning, escalating reminders, voice announcements, and a Simple Mode designed for elderly users.
Point your camera at any medication label or box. Our AI reads the text and automatically fills in the drug name, dosage, and form. You can also choose from a photo library. It works with most medication packaging in English and Chinese.
If you miss a notification, Doses sends follow-up reminders at 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes — each one more urgent than the last. They stop as soon as you log your dose. This ensures you never accidentally skip a medication.
Simple Mode is an accessibility feature that shows one medication at a time with extra-large buttons, photos, and optional voice announcements. It's designed for elderly users, people with visual impairments, or anyone who prefers a simpler interface.
Yes, Doses is completely free to use with all features included. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads.
Doses supports English and Traditional Chinese. You can switch languages at any time in Settings. Voice announcements support both English and Cantonese.
Your medication data is stored securely and is only accessible to your account. We do not sell or share your personal health information with third parties. See our Privacy section below for more details.
Make sure notifications are enabled for Doses in your iPhone Settings (Settings > Notifications > Doses). Also check that Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode isn't blocking alerts. If the issue persists, try toggling a schedule off and on again, or contact us below.
Doses collects your email address for authentication, medication names and schedules you enter, dose log history, and optional medication photos you upload. This data is necessary to provide the core app functionality.
Your data is used solely to power the Doses app — scheduling reminders, tracking your dose history, and syncing across sessions. We do not use your health data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond app functionality.
Doses uses Supabase for secure data storage and authentication, and DashScope (Alibaba Cloud) for AI-powered medication label scanning. Scanned images are processed for text extraction only and are not stored by the AI service.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with row-level security policies. Each user can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
